Success PDF Print E-mail

How do we define success?

43-10...that's the combined win/loss record of the C-Hawk varsity basketball teams this year.  What an amazing accomplishment for our coaches and players!
The soccer and basketball teams had 10 players earn all league honors.  Our winter athletic teams had a league MVP, a defensive MVP, a Coach of the Year, and league sportsmanship award!
For all this success, we give thanks to God for all the blessings he gives us.  But, we can celebrate more success than games won and honors earned.
Success to me is the positive attitude that I witnessed in our soccer team this season.  Success to me is when a player offers a hand to help their opponent up off the ground in a semi-final basketball game.   Success to me is when players can look each other in the eye after a game, knowing that they played their hardest.  Success to me is when players leave the locker room with their hearts on their sleeves and their heads held high.  Success to me is seeing so many supporters of our school travel so far and so often to cheer on our players.
Thank you for helping make this winter sports season a success.  I pray that God continues to bless the efforts of our coaches and players during our spring sports season!
